Three things worth thinking about before you choose.
Most wallpaper decisions that go wrong come down to one of three things: scale, light, or substrate. Getting all three right is what separates a wallpaper that looks beautiful for years from one that disappoints the moment it goes up.
Scale and Pattern Repeat
Large patterns make a room feel wider and bolder. Smaller repeats add richness without dominating. In a narrow room or corridor, vertical patterns draw the eye up. In a low-ceilinged room, avoid large horizontals. These are the details that make the difference between a wallpaper that works and one that fights the room.
Room Type and Light
Dark wallpapers work well on a single feature wall or in a room with good natural light. In Cyprus, where rooms often face strong sun, consider how the wallpaper reads at different times of day before committing. What looks dramatic at noon can look flat by evening.
Substrate and Durability
Non-woven wallpapers are more durable and easier to hang than paper-based types. Vinyl-coated papers are washable and practical for kitchens and bathrooms. Fabric-backed wallpapers are the most premium and longest-lasting. Choosing the wrong substrate for the room is one of the most common and most avoidable mistakes.

A few things people often ask us
As a rough guide, divide the total wall area in square metres by the coverage per roll, then add 10 to 15 percent for pattern matching and waste. Most standard rolls cover approximately 5 to 6 square metres. For rooms with large windows or doors, deduct those areas first. Our team calculates this for you during the consultation so you do not over or under-order.
Non-woven wallpaper has a fabric-fibre backing that makes it dimensionally stable, tear-resistant and easier to hang. Paste is applied to the wall rather than the paper, which also makes it easier to remove later. Paper-backed wallpaper is the traditional type, requires paste on the paper, and needs more careful handling when wet. For most applications in Cyprus, we recommend non-woven for its durability and ease of installation.

Yes, with the right product. Vinyl-coated and non-woven wallpapers are moisture-resistant and suitable for bathrooms and kitchens as long as the room is properly ventilated and the wallpaper is kept away from areas of direct water contact. We advise on the right product for each room during the consultation.
Designer wallpaper uses higher-quality substrates, more complex printing processes, and designs created by specialist studios rather than mass-produced. It typically costs more per roll but covers more, is easier to hang, and holds its quality for longer. For a room where the wallpaper is the centrepiece, a dining room, master bedroom or reception area, the difference is visible and lasting.
